I started this blog to have a place where I could try to express my thoughts and feelings in a format where I might be able to get some feedback. I’m not trying to impress and get a million readers. I highly doubt I’ll ever get on Martha Stewart or Ellen for my savvy and trendy personal opinion. I’m just trying to write some stuff down.
I was born and raised in Chicago. I have lived in L.A., Miami, Detroit and now Brooklyn. My dream is to one day have a house in a small town or country setting and have some goats.
Please feel free to comment on anything I write.

What’s “What’s Your Plaza?” ?
I heard the phrase “What’s your plaza?” long ago when I lived in Hollywood. My friend Denise worked at Sushi on Sunset. Some guy named Josh had a crush on her. We would run into Josh at the clubs we frequented and he would greet us by saying “What’s your plaza?”
The two only facts I know about Josh are: He never ever wore shoes, only socks. And he grew up in Hollywood.
In case you don’t understand the phrase, it means, “Where are you at?” or “What are you doing right now?” or “What’s up?”
Essentially the word “plaza” means, “place”.
Place: Any portion of space regarded as measured off or distinct from all other space, or appropriated to some definite object or use; position; ground; site; spot; rarely, unbounded space.
The word place has sometimes a more confused sense, and stands for that space which any body takes up; and so the universe is a place. –Locke.
